Conversation with Jesus

Let's talk about an activity you can do alone or with friends called "Conversation with Jesus." It's all about getting closer to Jesus and chatting with Him more in our daily lives.

You know, it's easy to forget sometimes, but Jesus is always right there with us. He's there when we're making breakfast, running errands, or just relaxing at home.

The Bible tells us that Jesus was called "Immanuel," which means "God with us". Isn't that amazing? God is with us, all the time!

Jesus showed us how to stay connected with God. He was always in tune with what His Father was doing and saying.

He'd only do what He saw His Father doing, and only say what He heard His Father saying. It's like they were best friends, always chatting and working together.

This activity helps us do just that - to be more aware of Jesus being with us and to have to talk with Him throughout our day.

It's not about having long, fancy prayers. It's more like having a friend by your side that you can talk to anytime about anything.

So, next time you're going about your day, why not try talking to Jesus? Tell Him about your day, ask for His help, or just thank Him for being there. It's a great way to feel closer to Him and to get His guidance in our lives.

Conversation with Jesus: Getting Started

Hey everyone! Before we dive into this activity, I want to share a few things to help you feel at ease and connected.

What We're Doing Today

• This is all about spending time with Jesus and enjoying His company—there's no need to be perfect.

• Imagine it as a relaxed, heart-to-heart chat with a great friend!

• There’s really no "right" or "wrong" way to approach this.

A Few Helpful Tips

1. Get Comfortable

- Sit or lie down in a way that feels good for you.

- If it helps you focus, feel free to close your eyes (but it’s totally fine if you want them open!).

- Just relax and make yourself at home.

2. How We'll Do This

- I’ll be guiding you with some questions along the way.

- Don’t worry too much about the questions; they’re just here to get us talking.

- The real goal is to connect with Jesus.

3. Make It Personal

- These questions are meant for YOU.

- Engage in conversation with Jesus as you would with a close friend—honestly and genuinely.

4. Once I ask each question, take a moment to silently ask it to Jesus for yourself, then wait for His response.

Remember, His answers might come as thoughts, memories, impressions, or even scriptures that come into your mind. Just pay attention to how He leads you.

5. If you'd like, feel free to jot down your thoughts as we go along.

6. You’ll have about twenty seconds between questions to interact with Jesus. The interactive part of this activity will last around five to seven minutes.

Let’s enjoy this time together!

Conversation with Jesus

Let's talk about how we can help folks realize that Jesus is always right there with them, and how much joy He finds in each of us. Here are some questions we can use to explore this beautiful truth:

Noticing His Consistent Presence

Jesus, what was going through Your mind when I first came into this world?

Lord, when I woke up this morning, what were Your thoughts about me?

Jesus, how do I make Your heart happy?

Is there something special You really enjoy doing with me, Lord?

Jesus, as I'm sitting here right now, what's on Your mind about me?

These questions can help you picture Jesus being present in your everyday moments. They remind us that He's not some distant figure, but a close friend who's always with us and indwells us.

When we start to see Jesus in our daily routines, it can really change how we experience life. It's like turning ordinary tasks into opportunities to connect with Him.

Imagine sensing His empowering presence while you're doing the dishes or taking the kids to school!

Remember, Jesus finds joy in spending time with you. He's not just tolerating you - He's actually glad to be in your company. That's pretty amazing when you think about it!

So, let's encourage each other to look for Jesus in the little moments of our day. He's always there, ready to share His love and joy with us.
