Hey friends,
Life Hits Hard
Life can hit hard, can’t it? Work, family, temptations—it feels like we’re getting slammed from every side.
I’ve been there. As a young Christian, I faced some tough temptations that left me drained. One night, I dragged myself to church, hoping for help.
But the sermon? “Fifteen Principles for Overcoming Temptation.” I couldn’t even focus—I was too tired for a list of rules. Ever felt that way?
A Treasure in the Psalms
That’s when I found a treasure: the Psalms. It’s not a rulebook. It’s real people sharing real struggles, just like ours.
Imagine sitting with a friend who gets it. They spill their fears, doubts, and how they kept going. That beats a lecture any day, right?
You’re Not Alone
The Bible says, “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind” (1 Corinthians 10:13).
We’re not alone—others have walked this road. So, when you’re overwhelmed or tempted, open the Psalms. Read their stories. Feel their hearts. You’ll see you’re not the first to struggle.
Comfort for Your Soul
Like listening to worship music or cooking a warm meal for my grandkids, the Psalms lift me up.
They speak to my soul in a special way. Give it a try, friends. Let God’s Word comfort you. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted” (Psalm 34:18).
What About You?
What about you? How do the Psalms help your heart? I’d love to hear!
Blessings,
Cindy
